All Whites midfielder Sarpreet Singh has joined 1. FC Nürnberg from Bundesliga champions FC Bayern Munich on loan for the 2020/21 season. 

The former Wellington Phoenix star said he was looking forward to getting started with the 2. Bundesliga club. 

"The ideas of [Sporting Director] Dieter Hecking and [Coach] Robert Klauß immediately convinced me," Singh said.

"I want to take the next step and do my part to make this club play a successful season. Now I'm looking forward to meeting the team and the first training session."

The 21-year-old was described as a "top talent who is at home in attacking midfield" by Sporting Director Dieter Hecking.

"In addition to making first professional appearances [last season], he was one of the outstanding players in the team who were crowned third division champions. We hope that Sarpreet will bring realise playful and technical potential with us."

He will join the club with immediate effect.
