Youth title race going down to wire

Team Wellington's Matthew Garbett takes on the Tasman United defence (Photosport)

The fight for the National Youth League title will go into the closing weeks of the season after leaders Waitakere United suffered a surprise defeat while the teams looking to catch them all posted convincing victories.

Waitakere held a six-point lead at the top of the table going into last weekend’s action but were upset by Eastern Suburbs in a local derby, allowing the likes of Auckland City, Hamilton Wanderers and Team Wellington to make up ground.

See below for all the results and goal scorer details.
