
Four school teams now have the right to call themselves the best futsal exponents in the country in their respective age-groups after winning titles at the New Zealand Secondary School Futsal Championships.
The event took place at ASB Sports Centre in Wellington and brought together 90 teams from all over the country, who fought it out in four categories – Junior Girls, Senior Girls, Junior Boys and Senior Boys.
The silverware was shared around with different schools claiming in honour in a thrilling week of entertaining futsal.
Palmerston North Girls High School and Wellington East Girls College had much to celebrate after taking out the Senior Girls and Junior Girls titles respectively while no school was able to claim a double in the male competitions either.
The Senior Boys title went to Wellington College while Scots College took home the Junior Boys honours.
