The National League Championship game between Southern United and Central Football, that was set to be played on Saturday 5 October, and the Youth National League game between the same two sides, that was set to be played on Sunday 6 October, both at Logan Park in Dunedin, have both been cancelled due to extreme weather in the region.

The decision was made jointly by New Zealand Football, Southern Football, and Central Football, prioritising player safety.

New Zealand Football will work to reschedule both games for a later date.
