New Zealand Football have been nominated for Best Major or Mega Event for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 at the 2024 NZEA New Zealand Event Awards.

The New Zealand Event Awards recognise Aotearoa’s top events, venues and professionals, and celebrate the innovation, creativity, and resilience of New Zealand's event industry.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 is a finalist in the Best Major or Mega Event 2024 category alongside the ASB Classic 2024 by Tennis Auckland. 

The tournament was also nominated three times in the Best Supplier category and twice, once for Auckland’s Eden Park and once for Wellington’s Sky Stadium, in the Best Venue category. 

The winners will be announced at the NZEA New Zealand Event Awards Gala Evening at the Fly Palmy Arena in Palmerston North on Tuesday 27 August 2024.
