2023 Youth Futsal Championship Fixtures Confirmed

The best young futsal talent from across Aotearoa will converge on Wellington’s Ākau Tangi Sports Centre next week to compete in the 2023 Youth Futsal Championships.

The 2023 Youth Futsal Championships marks the final activity in what was a historic year for futsal in New Zealand after the Futsal Whites qualified to the FIFA Futsal World Cup for the first time in history earlier this year.

Close to forty teams from all six member federations will take part in the four day tournament, running from the 14th - 17th of December.

Some of New Zealand’s brightest futsal talent have made a name for themselves in previous Youth Futsal Championships, with a large number of Futsal Whites and Futsal Ferns featuring in and winning the competition early in their futsal careers.

Some of the stars of 2022's competition have gone onto great things on the football pitch too. Manaia Elliott signed for Wellington Phoenix in the Liberty A-League and was called up to the latest Ford Football Ferns squad since she won the U17 Girls Golden Boot in 2022, and 2022 U17 Boys MVP and Golden Boot Isa Prins recently featured in and won the NZ National League Championship Grand Final with Wellington Olympic AFC.

Senior matches on the Youth Futsal Showcourt (Court 11/12) will be live streamed for free. Tune in to watch all the action live on New Zealand Football’s YouTube channel.

Head to the Youth Futsal Championships tab on our website to view fixtures, results, up-to-date standings and more.

Make sure to follow NZF Futsal on Facebook and Instagram for coverage over the four days including photos and highlights of the best moments.
