New Zealand U-17 draw 1-1 with New Caledonia U-17

The men’s U-17 team drew 1-1 with New Caledonia’s U-17 side today as part of their warm up campaign ahead of the FIFA U-17 World Cup. 

New Caledonia took the lead at Fred Taylor Park but Martin Bullock’s side equalised 2 minutes before the half-time break. 

The goal came from Auckland United’s Bronson Brown who headed in the ball into the net in the second phase of play after a corner. 

Both teams pushed for the win but couldn’t find the breakthrough in the second half.

The two sides face each other again on Thursday at 3pm back at Fred Taylor Park. 

The New Zealand side for these games is drawn from domestic and Australian-based players.
