New Zealand Football is pleased to confirm that the 2021 Football Foundation Kate Sheppard Cup final will be held at FMG Stadium Waikato this Sunday, 13 March.

This is the first time the Kate Sheppard Cup final will be played in Hamilton, and also sees two first time finalists in Hamilton Wanderers and Wellington United. The stadium is also a venue for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia.

Hamilton Wanderers secured their final spot with a 3-1 win over Coastal Spirit on 19 February, while Wellington United beat holders Eastern Suburbs AFC 1-0 on Saturday. Both teams were semi-finalists in the 2019 competition.

The game will kick off at 2 pm.

The draw for the home and away teams will take place today at 3 pm.

Due to Aotearoa New Zealand currently being in the Red setting of the Covid Protection Framework, the game will be played behind closed doors. Health and safety is a top priority for New Zealand Football, and we will continue to work closely with both teams in light of the Covid-19 pandemic

With fans not able to attend game in person, the Football Foundation Kate Sheppard Cup final will be streamed live and free on Sky Sport NEXT.
