The fixtures have been released for the new Southern League, the third regional competition that, alongside the Northern League and Central League, makes up the new National League. 

The league brings together the top five teams from the Mainland Premiership joining the top three from the Southern Premiership. 

The teams contesting the 2021/22 season are Cashmere Technical, Coastal Spirit, Christchurch United, Nelson Suburbs, Selwyn United (all Mainland Premiership) South City Royals, Green Island and Otago University (all Southern Premiership). 

Starting this weekend (17 July), the opening round’s fixtures are:


12:00pm - Coastal Spirit v Nelson Suburbs 

12:00pm – Cashmere Technical v Green Island AFC

2:45pm – Selwyn United v Christchurch United

2:45pm – South City Royals v Otago University AFC
