New Zealand Football has made the decision to change the venue for this weekend’s National Women’s League (NWL) game in Auckland.
The Match Week Five fixture between Auckland and the Canterbury United Pride, scheduled for McLennan Park on Sunday 13 October at 1.30pm, has been moved to Kiwitea Street in Sandringham. The fixture will be played at the same time.
Kiwitea Street, the home of the ISPS Handa Premiership Minor Premiers Auckland City, complied with the Club Licensing Infrastructure requirements.
The NZF Competitions team and Auckland Football visited McLennan Park this week and concluded it was not at a suitable standard for the 2019 National Women’s League in its current state.
