Dettol Become Major Partner of New Zealand Football and Official Naming Partner of the Dettol National League

Dettol, Australia and New Zealand’s most trusted cleaning brand, has partnered with New Zealand Football to support the world’s biggest game.

The multi-year partnership will see the brand, who have been protecting Kiwis for over 80 years, becoming the official naming partner of the men’s and women’s Dettol National League, Aotearoa New Zealand’s top-tier domestic football competition.

In addition, Dettol will become the official hygiene partner of the All Whites, supporting the team on their journey to qualify for, and perform at, the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The partnership comes at a time when football is exploding across Aotearoa New Zealand as the number one team participation sport in the country.

“This is a major partnership which will help support our domestic and international football programmes” says James Wear, GM Brand and Partnerships at New Zealand Football.

“The Dettol National League is growing rapidly and through our partnership with FIFA+ we are broadcasting more matches than ever before with over 250 games live and free in 2024, which will only increase in 2025.

“The All Whites are two games away from qualifying for the FIFA World Cup for the third time in their history which will be transformational for football in Aotearoa New Zealand.

“It is great to have a trusted, established brand like Dettol join us on this exciting journey as football continues to go from strength to strength.”

Gary Bevan, Partnerships Manager ANZ for Reckitt, said:

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with New Zealand Football and the All Whites.

“This collaboration underscores our commitment to promoting health and hygiene in sports across the region through our Dettol National League partnership.

“Together, we aim to ensure that every player, coach, and fan enjoys a clean and healthy environment both on and off the field.

“With Dettol by their side, the All Whites can focus on what they do best – playing great football and inspiring the nation as they look to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026."

The new Dettol National League season will start in March and be broadcast live and free on FIFA+.

The All Whites will face Fiji in the Semi-Final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 – Oceania Qualifiers on 21 March 2025 at Sky Stadium in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, with the winner qualifying for the Final on 24 March 2025 at Eden Park in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
