Fixtures Announced for National League Championship 2024


The fixtures for both the men’s and women’s National League Championship 2024 have been announced, with the new season set to kick off on Saturday 28 September.

Aotearoa New Zealand’s premier domestic football competition features 10 regional qualifiers, in each of the men’s and women’s editions, with teams competing across nine rounds to secure a spot in the Grand Finals and vie for national glory.

All National League Championship 2024 games will be available live and free on FIFA+, with match highlights also accessible on the New Zealand Football YouTube channel.


For the 2024 men’s competition, the teams are: Auckland City FC, Western Springs, Eastern Suburbs, and Birkenhead United (Northern League); defending champions Wellington Olympic, Western Suburbs, Napier City Rovers, and Wellington Phoenix Reserves (Central League); and Cashmere Technical and Coastal Spirit (Southern League).

In the 2024 women’s competition, the teams are: defending champions Auckland United, West Coast Rangers, Eastern Suburbs, and Western Springs (Lotto NRFL); CF Waterside Karori, Wellington Phoenix Reserves, and CF Wellington United (Capital Football); Central Football; Canterbury United Pride; and Southern United.

The 2024 season will open with the 2023 women’s champions, Auckland United, playing away against Waterside Karori, and the men’s title holders, Wellington Olympic, traveling to face first-time qualifiers Coastal Spirit.

In addition to the senior competition, the Youth National League will also be played this spring, with the boys edition already underway and the girls set to start this weekend.
