Futsal will reach a whole new audience this weekend as the Ford Futsal SuperLeague finals are broadcast live on Sky Sport 2 for the first time.

A full day of futsal action will see the men’s final, women’s final and men’s 3rd place play-off all be broadcast live on Sky Sport 2 from 10am – 4pm this Sunday (20 November 2022). 

James Wear, GM Brand & Partnerships at New Zealand Football, is excited to see futsal find a new audience with Sky Sport:

“We already know that futsal is growing rapidly in terms of participation but it is great to see it reach a new broadcast audience with Sky Sport.  

“Along with the support of Ford as a competition partner, this is an exciting time for futsal after a challenging few years with Covid. And it’s only going to get bigger in 2023.” 

The Ford Futsal SuperLeague represents the highest level of domestic futsal competition in Aotearoa New Zealand. In the men’s competition, defending champions Auckland City will be aiming to retain their title. In the women’s competition, new teams Papakura City and East Coast Bays fighting to claim the league in their first season. 

The Ford Futsal SuperLeague will be played at Pulman Arena, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

The schedule for Sunday’s finals is as follows:

10am – Men’s Ford Futsal SuperLeague 3rd placed play-off
12pm – Women’s Ford Futsal SuperLeague final
2pm – Men’s Ford Futsal SuperLeague final
