She’s got 124 Football Ferns caps and played in eight FIFA tournaments, owns two W-League winners medals and lifted five national league titles, and now Annalie Longo is joining New Zealand Football as the new Women’s Development Manager.
Longo joins New Zealand Football from Mainland Football, where she has been the Women’s Football Development officer for the last six years. During her time at Mainland she has driven the growth of girls and women’s football in the region.
New Zealand Football Technical Director Andy Boyens said:
“We are thrilled to have Annalie join New Zealand Football. Not only does she bring a wealth of experience as a player but has also done a brilliant job with women’s football development in Christchurch.
“We look forward to her becoming part of the organisation in a hugely important role as we move towards the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and beyond.”
Longo will be based in Christchurch. She begins her role on Monday 13 September.
