The Young All Whites are New Zealand’s national U-17 football team and have represented New Zealand (and Oceania) with distinction at the FIFA U-17 World Cups in 2009 and 2011, reaching the knockout stages of a FIFA tournament, a feat no other New Zealand team had acheived to that point
In 2009 they achieved the feat with an unbeaten record during pool play, before being ousted by hosts and U-17 powerhouses Nigeria.
In 2011 they thrashed eventual quarterfinalists Uzebekistan 4-1, and drew with USA to seal progression to the second round bowing out to Japan and finishing in 10th equal postion.
